How A Avon Representative Can Accomplish Their Goals By Breaking Them Down Into Smaller Tasks

This is the 3rd post in the series on a Time Management System for Avon Representatives. Below I will cover how to break large goals into smaller goals or tasks you can complete more easily.

Most Avon Representatives have many goals. However, most of them never achieve their goals. The reason is simple: they have set their goals too high and they don't know the steps to take to get there.

Goal setting can is a fundamental step in the Time Management System for Avon Representatives. And goal setting can help you get organized. The trick is knowing how to break goals down into smaller tasks to achieve them.

By setting your goals too high you are setting yourself up for frustration and failure. Breaking your goals down into small, simple, achievable steps provides you with a clear path to follow.

As an example let’s say your goal is keeping your house clean.

On piece of paper, break your main goal into achievable steps. For example:

1. Make bed everyday.

2. Do a load of laundry everyday.

3. Keep counters in kitchen clean.

Continue writing smaller goals as you can think of them. Your list does not have to be final. You can always add to it when you think of another smaller goal you would like to achieve.

Now prioritize your list. Take a look at the smaller goals that you have written on your list. Then write a number between 1-4, where 1 is most important and 4 is not very important at all. Start doing this activity with the goals that will make for your life and business.

Work on Goals Daily

1. Start with the most important smaller goal on your list. Concentrate on achieving that goal each day.

2. Continue working on that one smaller goal until it has become a natural habit and you can easily accomplish that particular task everyday without effort.

3. Once you have mastered the first smaller goal on your list. Move on to the next one. Continue working on one smaller goal at a time, until you have completed all of the smaller goals on your list.

Once you can realize that every smaller goal you achieve puts you one step closer to your ultimate goal you are more likely to succeed in achieving all your goal. Taking the time to celebrate each of those smaller goals will give you a feeling of pride that will provide the motivation you need to move on to the next step.

Your task from now on is to work on your smaller goals consistently on a regular basis to accomplish your larger goals.

In the next post on my Time Management System for Avon Representative I will cover the Eisenhower Matrix. And categorizing goals based on importance and urgency.
